Rick will be missed by his extended family Debi and Wayne Floyd, Heather Rielly, and his beloved dog Benny. He will also be missed by his many nieces and nephews, who were so fond of their favourite Uncle Rick, as well as his wonderful friends Marcel and Joan.
Richard was predeceased by his loving parents Frederick William and Maxine Pound and his sister, Linda Duff.
Rick worked at General Electric Peterborough for 38 years and was greatly respected by all who knew him. From a young age he lived a life that was rooted in hard work, always selflessly taking care of others. He moved mountains for his family, as a devoted husband to his beloved Susan. His daughter Meggie was his greatest treasure. The adoration and pride he exuded for them will be everlasting. Rick was generous and fiercely protective of those he loved. He built a fun-loving home that welcomed everyone. He wanted nothing more than to make others laugh with his larger-than-life antics. When Kaycee Ray was born, Rick became a doting Grandfather. Together with Kaycee was his favourite place to be. They share a special bond that is something to behold. He loved to celebrate his family. He took every opportunity to cheer for any and all of their accomplishments. Rick’s roaring laughter echoes in our thoughts and his unwavering love is something that we will cherish forever. In keeping with Rick’s wishes, cremation will take place and a celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
