Bob meant so much to me since the first day we met in Jamestown, N.Y.  He was a confidant, and a father figure to me.  He dedicated my sons Matthew and Timothy to the Lord.  His sense of humor would keep me laughing, his sense of right, and wrong, and a willingness to stand up for the "little guy" was always inspiring.  When I arrive in the Kingdom of God, Bob will be one of the people I will want to talk to first. I am grateful to the Lord Jesus that I was blessed to call Bob a true friend.

We met Major Robert Zwicker while we were stationed in Saint John, NB. He was such an inspirational speaker and a great individual. We have been privileged to meet Keitha, she is such a lovely person. God bless Keitha and the Zwicker family.

Bob Zwicker will always have a very special place in our hearts.  We have been through many trials and Bob always had a way of knowing when we needed prayer the most. He would phone us out of the blue and say 'you have been on my heart and I would like to come over to pray with you'.  Bob, your prayers and friendship over the years have meant so much to us, we will miss you but the Lord needs you more...until we meet again. 

Keitha, you are truly a beautiful child of God, an inspiration and a blessing to us also.  We treasure your friendship and pray for you always.  May the Lord keep you strong and help you carry on the powerful ministry that you and Bob have blessed so many people with.

Our Papa was a man of great character. He was someone who would genuinely listen, and care. He was a man filled with compassion and love. He always had a sense of humor, regardless of the circumstances around him or that he faced.

Most importantly our Papa was in love with Christ Jesus. He had an intricate comprehension of the Word, and demonstrated through his life and countenance how to live Christ like. Our Papa inspired us to seek ever harder after the final prize and always encouraged us along the way.

We were never made to feel any less than his grandchildren, because that is what we were. He was a gift from God to our Nana, and to our whole family. We will always thank God for the blessing He gave us through this man. He is greatly missed, and we anticipate eagerly the day when we see him again in glory, with that contagious smile on his face.

Feeling the loss of our much loved "adopted" father. Bob was a wonderful man who always cared so much for the well being of others, and especially that of his family. He was well respected by so many, and carried himself in a way that was always mindful of the Father's heart. His laugh and incredible sense of humour ( even till the end ) will be deeply missed by so many of his loved ones, and friends. 
It gives me peace of mind to know that he's hanging out with the angels, surrounded by the father's love, and wearing his badge of honour that he has truely earned in this lifetime. You will be deeply missed!

The sad loss of Major Bob Zwicker can only be accepted in the light of Heaven's gain.
It was my privilege to have worked with Major Bob as his Director of Family Services at the corps, also being his Corps Sergeant-Major from the years 1984-1989. By working so closely with him I discovered him to be a true Christian, a gentleman and friend. His depth of character and personal Christian faith shone through in all of  his dealings. 
Jean and I will miss his pastoral visits to our home where he often shared scripture and prayer on our behalf. Our love and comfort will remain with Keitha as she faces her future days.

I feel truly blessed to have been married to this kind ,caring, compassionate and most importantly  Christian man. He was a wonderful husband to both Garda and myself and I thank the Lord for putting him in my life for the past twelve years. I look forward to being re-united in heaven. May his children and grandchildren and great grandson be assured of his love for them. Thank you darling for the beautiful memories. Love Keitha

My wife and I  first met Major Zwicker when we started attending Peterboro Citadel about 10 years ago. I came to admire and respect him both a friend and as part-time Pastor. 

He was the quiet sort, however he had a deep concern for his fellow man. He was ready to talk about the scripture and man's need of salvation at anytime or place. He was a regular at Saturday Morning Prayer Breakfast. 

Major Bob (as many referred to him) was a man that  we as a couple learned to admire for his concern for us and his knowledge of the scriptures, and his longing to see men, women, boys and girls seeking freedom from their sin.  He talked often about man's need of salvation in order to make the trip he about take to Heaven. In the closing days of his life he seemed at peace knowing that everything was right between him and the God he loved and talked about so much. 

Major Zwicker will be missed by us and I'm sure by all who knew him through his time at Peterboro Citadel. We look forward to meeting him in Heaven.  ----------------Len & Susie

Major Zwicker and his family were truly a blessing to us when stationed at our corps in Memphis, TN.  He was our pastor and our loving friend.  We will be lifting up his family in our prayers.

I had such a privilege to call Robert Zwicker my uncle Bob.
I have loved and respected him for most of my life and was thrilled when he married my aunt Keitha twelve years ago.
I was so happy that he was able to marry my husband and me in December last year. It is a memory we will both cherish.
I miss and love you very much uncle Bob.

Major Zwicker was indeed a Man of God and we were honored to have sat under his "Ministry" at Corner Brook Temple.  We remember the evening that we "The young couples" at the time brought Pizza to the quarters and how thrilled he was that we included him and the late Major Garda in our Fellowship.  We reflect on the many powerful sermons and leadership that he provided which gave us Spiritual guidance.  Well done! Faithful Servant.

We feel blessed to have known Major Zwicker and to enjoy his ministry while at Corner Brook Temple. Just want to express my condolences and sympathies to you and all of your family. Major Zwicker and his first wife Garda were my officers in the early nineties at Oakville Citadel, when I was living in Oakville and attending that Corps. They were very kind to me when I was attending there, especially when I went through quite a traumatic and stressful situation in my life. May Major rest in peace with our Lord. Ourthoughts go back to Jamestown, NY where Bob ministered to a beautiful congregation.  His ministry reached way beyond his corps to surrounding corps officer's who often were struggling.  His giving encouraged so many as he reached out in love.  

We will miss his sincere directness, his smile and laughter,and his concern with abundant compassion. We are better people because of his friendship and leadership.

Dear Keitha & family:  Lindsay and I were saddened to hear of Major Bob's passing but we rejoice in knowing he has been 'Promoted to Glory' and is with the dear Saviour whom he loved and served! Major Bob was Jean's first Corps Officer, at Hamilton Temple. He, along with the Lord, guided me throughout the year till I entered Training College in the "Followers of Christ Session" in 1972, and kept in touch all these 42 years since we met. We will miss you, Bob. "Well done, good and faithful  servant. Enter into the joy of thy Lord."

Bob was a very dear member of our family. We have wonderful memories of him visiting with us at our cottage in Westport each fall.

SO sorry to hear of Majors Passing,he was indeed a true man of God ,he helped me through some of the most hardest times in my life and always showed his passion and concern,Heavens truely a better place now with him up there ,One of the best Salvation Army Officers I have ever met .

Major Bob was very dear to my heart.  He was a friend and mentor to me before I entered SA Training.  I have been impacted by his wisdom, kindness and lovely sense of humor.
