Roger Cole lived a full and meaningful 92 years. His family shares the news of his passing on Saturday, October 31, 2026, at Riverview Manor, and invites those who knew him to celebrate his life and the memories he leaves behind.
Loving father of Susannah Cole (Michael Walsh) and Andrea Cole (Shay Byrne). Fondly remembered by the mother of his children, Anne Cole (Doxsee). Predeceased by his parents, William and Bernice (née Rowe) Cole, and his sister, Barbara Widdis. Roger will also be remembered by his many nieces, nephews, coworkers, former students, and friends.
A longtime teacher with the Peterborough Public School Board and later a Funeral Assistant with Comstock Funeral Home, Roger will be remembered for his dedication to others, his strong sense of responsibility, and the care he showed to family, friends, and those he met throughout his life. He enjoyed cooking, gardening, and singing, and could often be found on his patio with a good book and his favourite beverage.
Family and friends are invited to gather in celebration of Roger's life on Saturday, November 7, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Comstock-Kaye Life Celebration Centre, 356 Rubidge Street, Peterborough. Tributes will be shared at 1:30 p.m.
