Passed away peacefully at Extendicare Peterborough on Sunday, January 5, 2025 at the age of 74, just shy of her birthday on January 18th. Devoted and loving wife of Wayne Smith for over 53 years. Dear sister of John “Bob” Rowland and aunt of Anderson (Stacey). Predeceased by her parents Johnny and Ruby Rowland. Rose was always such a calm and kind presence, and her soft-spoken nature made her a joy to be around. Visitation will be held at Comstock-Kaye Life Celebration Centre, 356 Rubidge St., Peterborough on Tuesday, January 14th from 12:00 – 1:00 p.m. followed by a service in the chapel at 1:00 p.m. Interment will be held in the spring at Gardiner’s Cemetery, Millbrook.
