Stewart Reginald Livingston McAfee

Peacefully at Peterborough Regional Health Centre on Monday February 24, 2025 at the age of 93. Beloved husband of the late Patricia Jean McIlraith (2018). Dear father of Graeme and Colin. Brother of Trevor McAfee and Sylvia Macafee in Northern Ireland, UK.

He graduated from Queens University, Belfast, NI, UK and McMaster University, Hamilton, ON, CA. He was Chief Psychologist for the Peterborough Board Of Education. His passions included sailing on his boat, playing “Danny Boy” on the piano, camping with family, and vacationing in St. Petersburg FL, US. He loved European football and rugby. He was Captain of his Rugby Team, Portadown R.F.C. 1948-49.

He will be missed by nieces and nephews Ian, Jacquelyn, Andrew, Caroline and Susan in NI, UK, Sara-Jane and Ian in ON, CA and Don McIlraith, brother to his wife Patricia. He will also be missed by all his friends at Murray St. Baptist Church, Peterborough, ON, CA.

Visitation will be held at the Comstock-Kaye Life Celebration Centre 356 Rubidge Street from 1:00 – 3:00 pm on Sunday March 9, 2025. The service will be held at Murray St. Baptist Church 175 Murray St. at 1:00 pm with visitation from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm on Monday March 10, 2025.
