Sybil Irene Richards

Passed away peacefully on October 18, 2018 in her 95th year at Peterborough Extendicare. Predeceased by her husband Jack (2007). Loving mother of Jackie Wright (George 2011), John (Brenda) and Jo Anne Richards. Cherished grandmother of Dylan, Wyatt and Lucas Richards. Sybil was a proud WW II Veteran who served in the RCAF where she met and married her beloved Jack. They started life together in Lindsay, Ontario and relocated to Peterborough to raise their family. As a stay at home mom until all of her children were in school, Sybil worked as a seamstress for a number of local ladies- wear shops. She later worked for many years at ARC Industries on Douro Street. In retirement, her greatest joys were her family, gardening, bridge and travel with Jack. Sybil was a Charter member of Northminster United Church. Many thanks go to the staff on Lilac Lane at Peterborough Extendicare for the loving care that Sybil received there. A Service of Remembrance will be held on Friday, October 26, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at COMSTOCK-KAYE LIFE CELEBRATION CENTRE, 356 Rubidge Street, Peterborough. Interment of urn at Riverside Cemetery, Lindsay. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Sybil may be made to Northminster United Church or a charity of your choice.
