All will cherish the times spent with Thelma up at Stoney Lake, with family and friends gathered around and the welcoming, loving home she provided for so many over the course of her life. She enjoyed an eventful and abundant 95 years, and although her time with us here is now over, the memories she created will last forever.
Thelma worked with Ken to build a full and varied life around the gorgeous seasons of southern Ontario. In the summers, Ken and Thelma ran a fly-in fishing camp. Ken flew guests from around the world into the camp on his trusty SuperCub and Thelma hosted them at their home on Stoney Lake the same way she did her family, with a welcoming warmth and grace. Ken's snowmobile business and their love of Ski-dooing, kept them busy in winter until his retirement when they became snowbirds to Florida, in Tampa, and Spring Lake. Thelma will be sorely and forever missed by her immediate family and lovingly remembered by her grand and great grand-children, by her many nephews and nieces, and by her friends. A private cremation has taken place. A celebration of Thelma’s life will be held at a later date.
