Mrs. Wendy Elizabeth Langmuir Baks was born on August 30, 1948, in Toronto, Ontario, and passed away on June 20, 2026, at the age of 77. A beloved and cherished presence in the lives of those who knew her, Wendy will be remembered with deep respect and enduring affection.
Wendy’s early years were shaped in Toronto, where she attended Havergall College. Throughout her life, she carried herself with a quiet strength—brave in spirit, gentle in manner, and inspirational in the steady way she met each day. Her hard-working nature showed not in fanfare, but in the consistent care and commitment she brought to what mattered most.
On March 02, 1985, Wendy was married at her parents home in North York, a moment that reflected the importance she placed on family, home, and the bonds that hold a life together. She is survived by her husband, Menno Baks. In later years, Wendy was a resident of Bailieboro, Ontario, where she continued to be a grounding and valued presence to those around her.
Wendy’s inner life was marked by thoughtfulness and reflection. A Buddhist and well read, she approached the world with calm attentiveness and a sincere regard for others—qualities that made her companionship both comforting and quietly profound.
