I’ve been think about you pass few weeks. Decided to look you up. Last time we talked was in early 90’s.  Often thought about times at MSU. I HATE I waited too late my friend to check on you.  My heart is really saddened that I didn’t get to say goodbye. I so wanted to talk to you one last time.  To see how your wife and children were doing.  Now here it is I find you passed 9 yrs ago.  I can’t believe it still.  Wanted to tell you thank you for being my friend. You were such a beautiful, kind and humble man. Your wife and sons were so blessed to have such a caring and smart individual.  I too am blessed for knowing you. Rest In Peace..sending entire family my love and a photo of you from days many year ago. 1973-75

Abebe was a gentle soul and one of the most fiercely intelligent men I've had the privilege to know.   I think of you often  -- with great fondness. 

Saying goodbye too soon is painful when you have unfinished business. Never had the time to learn who you were but I’m going to still try.  Your Son

I was planning to come and visit you in Texas. I had repeatedly been calling you, but you couldn't pick up your phone. I didn't know what happend before today! oooooohhhhhh! What a shocking news! what a great loss! Let your soul be in heaven
