I worked with Allen for 4 years and used to run into him after that time when Albertson's was still located at Braker and Lamar.  I always admired his open mind and subtle sense of humor.  He was one of those people that you were always happy to see.  I learned of his death in April from another former co-worker.  I'm so sorry to hear he has left this world so soon.

It was pleasure to spend time on the water with Allen.  Truly what a fun and nice guy!  He and his friends loved fishing and I got more out of the time spent with him/them and they ever got out of time spent with me.   Allen will be truly missed, but I am confident he is now in the very best of out of doors!!

Suzanne, Kara and family, I'm SO sorry to hear that Allen passed away. In the "Good Book of the Goodest Guys Ever", he was on the first page. It hurts my heart to know he's gone. I ALWAYS enjoyed a visit or conversation with him at a kickball game or anywhere I ran in to him. He will be missed by all. Though there will be a huge whole in your/our lives down here, there will be a New Sheriff in Town up there as I'm pretty darn sure he'll let um know how things are going to be run now he's there and "in charge". Wonderful tribute to our dear brother in law Allen. There is definitely a lifetime of love and good times between the dashes. Our hearts will forever be crushed, and our family will never be the same, but the precious memories will live on.

Suzanne, the news of Allen's death in the call from Janet on Wednesday was shocking.  He was a fine man who loved the Lord. Pam and I want you to know that you and your family are in our thoughts and prayers.  God bless.

Allen was a kind and gentle man who was loved and respected by all who knew him.  I worked with him for many years in Personnel at DHS and DADS and watched him deal professionally and compassionately with many employees who faced problems and needed advice and assistance.  Suzanne, and family, my deepest sympathy to you all.  I know how much you will miss Allen.  Our prayers are with you...I know that God never gives us more than He gives us strength to endure.
