Alma G Wahl, 89, passed away November 5, 2025. She was born August 5, 1936, in Miles, Texas. She grew up in Guadalupe County where her family enjoyed farming. Then she met, John Wahl, in 1952 and married in 1953 and moved to Austin, TX. They were married for 61 years.
She retired from the Texas Department of Public Safety where she worked her way up from the Cafeteria to Supervisor in the Statistical Services department. She was there for 30 years and was able to retire at 55 years old. During those years they were always busy enjoying square dancing and country dancing, sewing, camping & boating at Lake Travis, playing cards and many board games and dominos. They were also on a bowling league for many years.
She was proceeded in death by her husband, John Wahl, and son William (Billy) Wahl. Also, by her siblings, Hilda, Lydia, Meta Marie, Hilton, Helen, Hilroy, Olie Mae, and Martha Jane. Also, her parents, Martha and Julius Kopplin. She is survived by her daughters, Johanna Eades, and Annette Pike and husband Mickey and Sister-in-law Marlene Wahl. Her grandchildren Christopher Geddes, Kati Yee and husband Kevin Yee and Kevin Pike. Great-grandchildren Tristan and Owen Yee, Aralyn and Kaia Pike, Brandy Markert and husband Wayne and Great-great-grandchildren Nicholas and Daniel Markert.
A visitation will be held on November 12, 2025, from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home, located at 14501 North Ih-35, Pflugerville, TX, 78660. The funeral service will start immediately after at 1:00 PM. The interment will follow in the Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Cemetery
