Despite only completing the 4th grade, Anita began her career at Brackenridge Hospital as a housekeeper. After some time she joined the Medical Records team, and finally worked her way into the lab as a Lab Technician where she eventually retired after 27 years. Being the hard working woman she was, retirement didn’t last too long. Anita began working at the CDC at Congregation Beth Israel where she worked for another 10 years. Anita loved Jesus and served many years in the kitchen of her church, Templo Monte Sinai. Some of her favorite things were spending time with family, more specifically her siblings. Going shopping and out to eat with them brought her so much joy. She also loved music, some of her favorite artists were Kenny Rogers, Lionel Richie and Patsy Cline.
