Beverley Walton Oaks, 75, passed away on Wednesday, February 26, 2025 after a brief illness. Her body was no longer able to keep up the fight, and God was ready for her. Beverley was born July 2, 1949 in Austin, Texas to Lee Jay and Opal (Cook) Walton. Being the oldest of five children, she naturally assumed the leadership role and this carried throughout her life, leading her to holding multiple leadership and honor roles in Optimist International and Beta Sigma Phi. Some of her biggest achievements included being lieutenant governor of the area for Optimist, area manager of personal bankers for Wells Fargo (retired), and sweetheart of her chapter for sorority.
She loved life, spending time with her family and friends, but life was made all the richer when she met the love of her life, Ron. With Ron she experienced the world in a whole new way, traveling all over the United States and abroad. Losing Ron so close to their 10th wedding anniversary was a crushing blow that her heart and spirit could never recover from. She has tried mightily to rebuild in his absence over the last 14 months, but her heart was irrevocably broken and was waiting to be made whole through her rejoining with him.
Although we are now saying good-bye, it's really a see you later, as we must let go of her body so that her spirit can live on being reunited with her late husband Ron, sons James and Mike, parents Opal and Lee Jay, brother Charlie, and baby sister Effie. May she laugh, dance, and move without pain. May all of her ailments be healed and/or removed, and she be at peace. We will miss her more.
She is survived by her daughter, Carolyn Zubetz and husband, Don; son, Charlie Brown; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren; brother, Lee Walton and wife, Ruth; sister, Debbie Parikh and husband, Nish along with numerous nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Charlie Walton; her husband, Ron Oaks; son, James Lee Brown; and bonus son, Mike Kiter.
Beverley will be laid to rest in Cook-Walden/ Capital Parks Cemetery , 14501 North Interstate 35, Pflugerville, Texas 78660; Section: Garden of Peace , Lot: 405-D, Grave: 1.
