Bobby Joe Powell of Austin, Texas, passed away on January 29, 2014. He was born in Lockhart, Texas, August 4, 1937 to the late Robert and Lillian Thomas Powell.
He was a husband, father, and a school teacher at Martin Jr. High and Anderson High School. He also worked for the Texas Department of Public Safety as a security guard. He is survived by his wife Yvonne Templin Powell, daughters Danah Mattes Webb, and Andrea Powell-Tonstad, both of Austin, Texas.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Monday, February 3rd, 2014 and Tuesday February 4th, 2014 beginning at 12:00pm; at Cook-Walden Capital Parks Funeral Home, Pflugerville, Texas.
Graveside services will begin at 3:00 pm on Tuesday, February 4th, 2014 at Cook-Walden Memorial Hill Cemetery, Pflugerville, Texas.
