Her husband Michael Morris preceded her in death. She is survived by her mother Greta Burkett; sons, James Morris, Eric Morris and his wife Amanda; and her grandson Elijah.
Brenda was born August 13, 1952 in Ozona, Texas. Her family moved to Austin in 1965. She graduated from Reagan High School in 1970 and married in 1971. She gave birth to her first son in 1973, and a second in 1975.
Brenda was very active in various churches, teaching Sunday school and caring for young children in the nurseries. She was a spiritual person, some would even say prophetic. Her bright smile and colorful style will be missed by those who knew and loved her.
Services will be held at 1:00 pm on Sunday, February 9th in the Memorial Chapel of Cook-Walden Capital Parks Funeral Home with Visitation held the hour prior. Interment will follow at Cook-Walden Capital Parks Cemetery.
To honor her memory, her family has asked those who attend the service to come wearing bright colors in celebration of her life.
