Our beloved “CHIP” Carlos E. (Rick) Valadez Sr., age 48, was called to our Heavenly Father on October 13, 2020 following a two-year courageous battle with Pancreatic Cancer. Carlos was a long time resident of Austin. He was kind, giving and caring and had many wonderful friends. He leaves lots of memories and good vibes for everyone to remember.
Carlos’ legacy will be remembered and kept alive by his devoted wife of 29 years, Lisa Valadez; his children, Alisha, Carlos, Thomas, Jonathan, Olivia, Rick, Carlos Jr, Cristian; grandchildren, Alyssa, Thomas, Rico, Jayven; his mother, Inosensia Valadez and stepfather, Javier Alcala; brothers, Esteban Barrientos, Javier Alcala, Jorge Alcala, Joel Alcala, Jesse Alcala, Jimmy Alcala; grandparents, Ignacio and Porfiria Valadez and numerous nieces and nephews that loved him so much.
Pallbearers: Thomas Cervantes, Jonathan Cervantes, Carlos Valadez, Rick Valadez, Cristian Valadez, Luis Rojas.
The Family would like to give thanks to his doctor at Texas Oncology Dr. Jeff Yorio and staff and Gilead Hospice Nurse Maria and staff for their care.
Visitation will be held Sunday, October 25, 2020 from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home, 14501 North Interstate 35 Pflugerville Texas 78660. The Holy Rosary will be recited at 10:00 a.m. Monday, October 26, 2020 at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church, 1520 N. Railroad Ave, Pflugerville, Texas 78660. The Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery, 3650 South Interstate 35 Frontage Rd, Austin, Texas 78704. Immediately following the interment there will be a Pot Luck Fellowship at the H and H Ballroom, 4404 Brandt Rd., Austin, Texas 78744.
Come in your classic car or motorcycle to cruise down 35 one last time to Assumption Cemetery as he wished.
Please wear a mask and practice social distancing during visitation, services and fellowship.
