He was born and lived in Athens, Tennessee until the family moved to Texas in 1962, where he resided until his passing. He was baptized in a Baptist church in Athens and enjoyed reading his Bible. Charles worked miscellaneous jobs, but his passion was working on cars and motorcycles.
Charles was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie Patterson and Laura Patterson, as well as his brother, Ken Patterson, and sister, Gwen Rosenthal. His surviving family members include his sisters, Lesa Favreau and Gail Merrill, and his brother Leuty Patterson.
The family would like to thank all the staff at The Springs Healthcare & Rehab who took special care of Charles while he resided there.
A private ceremony will be held at Cook Walden/Capital Parks Cemetery in Pflugerville, Texas.
In lieu of flowers, the family ask that you donate to Hill Country Community Ministries or Therapy Pet Pals of Texas.
