Christopher John Ruffino died suddenly on September 11, 2025. He was 52 years old. He is survived by his mom, older brother and extended family. Chris was born in Tampa, Florida and lived in Florida, Alabama, California and Texas growing up with a father who was in the Air Force.
After graduating high school, Chris traveled to Wyoming for technical school. He moved back in with his parents after school while he worked. In 1999, the three of them moved to Foresthill, California. There Chris worked as a commercial and residential painter. He worked with the crew that painted Alcetraz where he went on private tours with the park rangers. He also painted rooms and houses for friends and family.
Chris enjoyed watching and talking about movies. He and his dad watched many movies together and talked about them on their deck. Chris’s favorite movies were always anime. Chris had a great sense of humor and was quick with a funny observation about the world. As an Uncle, he showed his niece and nephew classic movies, games, and adventures.
In 2010, the three of them moved to Pflugerville, Texas to be closer to his niece and nephew. Chris took the passing of his father in 2013 especially hard. He lost his closest friend that day. He spent his remaining years looking after his mom and helping her with day-to-day activities.
Chris was loved and will be missed by all.
“I evaporated into the clouds and decided to stay as long as I could. I had fun but I need a good rest.” – Christopher Ruffino, [1983?]
