Doris graduated from Anderson High School. She accepted Christ at an early age at St. James Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Reverend E.M. Franklin. She later became active in Women Mission. Doris was a bus driver for AISD for twenty years. She deeply loved her family, her church, and her friends.
Doris is preceded in death by her father Clarence, her mother Muriel, and her two brothers Clarence, Jr. and Johnny Hodge. Left behind to cherish her memory is her son Toney Wooley from Arlington, Texas, her daughter Sharon Wooley of Austin, Texas, her three grandchildren Otis, Krystal, and Jared, and three great grandchildren. She is also survived by one sister Betty Demps and her husband George, one brother Calvin and his wife Sharrol Hodge as well as a host of nieces, nephews, friends, and loved ones.
A visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Friday, July 12, 2019 at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home in Pflugerville, Texas. The funeral service will begin at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, July 13, 2019 at St. James Missionary Baptist Church in Austin, Texas with Dr. B.W. McClendon officiating followed by an interment in Cook-Walden/Memorial Hill Cemetery.
