Dorothy Maybelle Banner

Dorothy Maybelle Banner, 92, of Austin, Texas, passed away on July 8, 2011, in Fredericksburg, Texas. She was born on May 21, 1919 in Paris, Texas to David and Pauline Robertson. She is preceded in death her Parents and her Husband of over 60 years; Woodrow Banner.

Along with her Brother, Dorothy is survived by her sons, Wesley Banner (Joyce) and Wilbur Banner (Madeline); 5 grandchildren; 1 step-grandchild; 5 great-grandchildren; 3 step-great-grandchildren; and 4 great-great-grandchildren.

Prior to her becoming a full time homemaker, she was employed by the Travis County Tax Office. She also spent several years seasonally with the Internal Revenue Service.

Special thanks go to the Luckenbach and Perry Families, owners of the Knopp Rehabilitation and Assisted Living Centers in Fredericksburg, Tx. and to the wonderful, dedicated staff of those facilities for their tireless efforts on behalf of our Mother.

Also, special thanks to the staff of The Hill Country Memorial Hospice of Fredericksburg, who were tremendous in their care of our Mother.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, July 13, 2011 in the Memorial Chapel of Cook-Walden Capital Parks Funeral Home, Pflugerville, Texas with burial to follow in the Cook-Walden Capital Park Cemetery.
