A Memorial service will be at 1:00 PM at December 20, 2025, at Kempner Church of Christ in Kempner, Texas.
Doyal was born on January 24, 1939, in Burnet, Texas to Leroy and Dora Mae Bird. He worked in maintenance for the Texas Department of Human Services, retiring in 2001. He enjoyed playing “Forty-Two” and other games with family and friends. He was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need and did so with a smile. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends. He was a faithful member of the Kempner Church of Christ.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Alta Bird; his parents Leroy and Dora Mae Bird; his brothers Randall, Howard, Walter, and Aceylee Bird; his grandson Nicolas Bird. He is survived by his daughter, Lynda Barnhart of Kempner; two sons, David Bird, and William Bird of Kempner; grandchildren Tanna Tolbert, Christopher Barnhart, William Bird Jr, Pamela Bird, and Kristen Bird; great grandchildren: Isabel Paige and Cannon Paige; twin sister Barbara; sisters Nadine, Bessie, Joyce, and Ivy.
