Everett Donald Barr Jr.

Everett Donald (Don) Barr, Jr., passed away on October 16, 2016, at the age of 76. He was born in El Campo, TX, on March 2, 1940, to his parents, Everett Donald Barr, Sr., and MaeBelle (Marek) Barr. He graduated from El Campo High School in 1958 and married Barbara Ladelle (Wilcox) on May 28, 1977.

Don is predeceased by his parents and grandparents, and is survived by his wife, Barbara, and four children: Frank Hallonquist; David Hallonquist and wife, Yvette; Janet Briery and husband, Jon; and Paul Hallonquist and wife, Paula. He also had eight grandchildren: Garon Hallonquist; Kamerawn Smedley; Lance Smedley; Auston Hallonquist; Alyssa (Briery) Burscough and husband, Jayson; James Hallonquist, Sarah Briery, and Lauren Hallonquist.

Don was actively involved in two Christian men's groups, and was an usher and Sunday School teacher at his church for many years. He had a great love of horses, windmills, his God, his family, and his country. He was very active up to the very end, and worked as a security supervisor up to a month before his death.

A viewing will be held at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks in Pflugerville, on Wednesday, October 19th from 6:00-8:00 p.m., with funeral services being held at Glad Tidings in Austin, Texas, on Thursday, October 20th, at 11:00 a.m. He will be buried at St. John's Cemetery in Georgetown, Texas.
