Fran enjoyed spending time with her family, traveling, bowling, shopping, reading, and the sound of the slot machines. She loved the Texas Longhorns and her dogs Homer, Sugar and Prissy.
Fran was loved deeply by all, especially by her dogs, her grandchildren – who called her “Grammie”- and her imaginary friends, of which she had many.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James Day and Elnora Gardner; and her husband of 39 years, James Humphreys.
She is survived by her son Dwain Humphreys and his wife Susan of Schertz, TX; her daughter Cheryl Pierce; her grandchildren Dustin McCoy, Tyler Strange (and wife Melissa), Ashleigh Villemain (and husband Jacob), and Jimmy Humphreys; her great-grandchildren Riley McCoy, Leia and Zaxx Strange, and Abigail Villemain and her sister Claris Lenz.
Funeral services for Fran will be held Wednesday, June 18, 2025 Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home, 14501 North Ih-35, Pflugerville, TX 78660. A visitation period will begin at 11 AM, with the funeral service beginning at 1:00 PM. Following the service, a committal service will take place at the adjoining cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you donate in Fran’s name to the Humane Society or another animal charity of your choice.
