She was born on November 24, 1925 to Stanley C. Bourgeios and Necia (Scott) Bourgeois in Terrebonne Parish, Louisiana. She married Roland John Rhodes on July 6, 1951 in Morgan City, Louisiana, and together they owned and operated Dusty’s Drive-Inn Restaurant.
Mrs. Rhodes is preceded in death by her husband, Roland Rhodes; her parents, Stanley and Necia Bourgeois; her sister, Barbara Ann (Bourgeois) Colwart; and her brothers, Russell, Robert, and Stanley Bourgeois, Jr.
Those left behind to cherish her memory include her brothers, Dudley and Eddie Bourgeois; her son, Lloyd F. Rhodes and daughter-in-law, Maria V. Rhodes of Pflugerville; and her grandsons, James D. Rhodes of Austin, and John M. Rhodes of Independence, Missouri.
Graveside services for the family will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, March 27, 2014 at Cook-Walden/Memorial Hill Cemetery in Pflugerville.
