Guy was predeceased by his parents, General Hamilton H. and Mary Henry Howze, and his brother, William Grey Howze and his dear friend Silka Willer. He is survived by his three children, Kristen (David) Beach and Guy (Karin) Howze Jr. and Randy Johnson; nine grandchildren, Grant (Casey) Beach, Elizabeth (Justin) Willson, Haley, Heather, Gardner Howze, Jake (Ericka), Jody, Josh Adams and Devlin Johnson; five great-grandchildren, River and Raine Willson, Kye Ulrich, Cassius Featherston, Adalynn Adams, and two nephews, Evan and Logan Howze.
Guy had many close friends and loved ones. The family is grateful to the diligent support offered by close family friend, Anthony Zernicek, who took extra care of Guy during his illness and provided the support his family was not able to give. Guy cherished the time he spent in marriage and longtime relationships with Sharen Lamuel, Monica McKenzie, and Anna Fearson.
Guy’s favorite pastimes were fishing, telling a tall tale, camping in Colorado and deep-sea fishing at Port Aransas. Each spring that he was able, he would visit his boarding school, St. James in Maryland. His classmates were like a second family to him. He was an outstanding cross-country runner and has records still standing from his time at Saint James School where he served as the team captain. He had a heart of gold and a larger than life personality.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Guy’s memory can be made to St. James School.
