Harvey August Raschke, Sr., 85 of Elgin, Texas passed away May 26, 2018 in Austin, Texas. Harvey was born August 25, 1932 in Paige, Texas to Walter and Ella (Jenke) Raschke.

Harvey was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Ella Raschke and one brother, Edwin Raschke.

He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Dorothy (Hitchcock) Raschke, son, Harvey Raschke, Jr. of Marble Falls, Texas; son John (and wife Linda) of Kingsland, Texas; granddaughter, Pamela Wilson, great grandchildren, Leyah and Klayton Wilson; step granddaughter, Melanie Gutierrez and family. Harvey is also survived by his sister, Bernice (and husband Oscar) Lay of Lexington, Texas, along with many nieces and nephews.

Harvey and Dorothy moved from Austin to Elgin, Texas in 1992. Harvey worked for Central Freight of Austin for 34 years, retiring in 1995. Harvey enjoyed working in his shop and he enjoyed watching old western movies.

A memorial service was held on Saturday, June 2, 2018 at Holy Word Lutheran Church in Austin, Texas with Pastor Donald Patterson officiating. The family requests that memorial contributions be made to Holy Word Lutheran Church – 10601 Bluff Bend Drive, Austin, Texas 78753.

Funeral arrangements made under the direction of Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home – 14501 Interstate 35, Pflugerville, Texas.
