She attended Webb City High School but before completing her high school diploma, fell in love and married the man of her dreams. Her younger employment years were spent with "Ma Bell" as an operator in the Webb City, Missouri area. Her interest in this area led her later in life to work for the Marriott corporation running the "PBX" department, the hub of communications of the property. She was very proud of her work for Marriott and was one
of the first members of what's known as the "quarter century" club. Having served 25+ years with the company.
Her last twenty years have been filled with watching her two grandsons participate in sports, and anything and everything they did. Whether it was a school play, basketball, or most importantly, baseball, she was THERE. I don't mean when it was convenient, she was there at 99% of the time. She traveled the country watching her boys play baseball, from Phoenix all the way back to her hometown area, Joplin, Mo. That's where she got to witness her oldest grandson win a national championship when he was seventeen. She got to experience that once in a lifetime event with her whole family, but most importantly, with her two sisters. She was very proud of her grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her first husband, Bob Lauck, and her second husband, Bob Jensen.
She leaves a son and daughter in law, Bob and Laura Lauck. She also leaves two grandsons, Carter and Cameron Lauck that will miss their "geemom" very, very, much. Two stepgrandchildren, Max and Samantha DeLine that will miss her also. Two wonderful sisters, Judy Gregory and Sue Carr, and brother in law Pete Carr. And many nieces and nephews.
A special "thank you" goes out to her sister Judy Gregory and her best friend/caregiver, Nancy Voots. Her sister Judy dropped everything to travel to Texas multiple times to help with her care in the last few years. Her love and devotion to her sister was immeasurable. Friend Nancy was there when family members couldn't be. The family will be forever indebted to you both, thank you so much from the family.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, April 18, 2015 at the Memorial Chapel of Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home in Pflugerville.
