

Jed William Bruner passed away on July 18, 2020 in Austin, Texas after a courageous battle with cancer. In his final days, Jed amazed all by his upbeat attitude and his deep thankfulness for all the friends that reached out to tell him how much they loved him and what he meant to them personally.
Jed was born September 15, 1965 in Dallas, Texas, the youngest of seven children to Joy and Fred Bruner. Jed's lively spirit and love of life were characteristics that attracted so many friends. To those who knew him a friendship with Jed was special and long-lasting. There is always a smile on his friend's faces as they remember their times with Jed. His journey led him to find great joy in music, craftsmanship, animals and friendship. Although not a musician, Jed's work with the Austin based band Asleep at the Wheel gave him a great purpose and led to many lifelong friendships.
He is preceded in death by his mother and father, Joy and Fred Bruner. Jed is survived by his beloved dogs Bertha and Lefty, and his two loving families.

Surviving siblings, Dawn Bruner Finlayson, husband Dan, Bob Bruner, wife Margie, David Bruner, wife Cindy, Kelley Bruner Coe, husband Rick, Joel Bruner, wife Michelle and Shay Bruner Nicoud, husband Brian. His nieces and nephews RJ Coe, wife Chelsea, Robert Bruner, wife Lauren, Haley Coe Kinard, husband Michael, Matthew Bruner, wife Leslie, Chris Bruner, John Bruner, Annie Bruner, Charlotte Coe Young, husband Geoff, Madeline Bruner, Jackson Bruner, Emma Bruner and Kit Nicoud. Also surviving his great nephews Sawyer Kinard and Wylie Kinard.
