Joyce was born on March 1, 1930 in Austin, Texas to Morris and Josephine Clark. She married Jerry Cox on July 30, 1949. Together they raised two children, Kerry and Kevin. We were all loved by her.
Joyce and Jerry were lifelong members of First Cumberland Presbyterian Church. She served this Church in many capacities for over 50 years. Most currently, their membership is with First Presbyterian Church of Austin.
Joyce was a member of the Austin High School Alumni Association and the Mesa Oaks Garden Club.
Joyce is preceded in death by her parents, Morris and Josephine; and her son-in-law, Mike Howard. She is survived by her husband of 71 years, Jerry; their daughter, Kerry, of Georgetown; their son, Kevin (Linda) of Arlington; three grandchildren: Koy Howard, Brandon Cox (Phil), and Christy Cox (Dale Miller); great granddaughter, Kayden; as well as her sister, Nancy Stramler (Bill); and niece and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home, 14501 North Interstate 35, Pflugerville, Texas on December 1, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Cemetery.
