

John Kamin Stewart was born in Webster, Texas on May 24, 1982. He lived in Clear Lake and Texas City as an infant and moved to Austin with his family in March of 1985. In 1988, Kamin moved to Round Rock with his family and grew up there. He attended elementary, middle and high school in Round Rock. Kamin had various jobs as a teenager, and eventually got a steady job at Dell Computers in 2004. Kamin was a self-starter who initiated change in his area at Dell and was cross functional in all the materials areas of the lead lines. He was looked at as a leader in the organization and had an excellent attitude. Kamin and his team exceeded 100% uptime for more than six weeks, while maintaining low inventory in his department.Those left behind to cherish Kamin’s memory are his mother, Leesa Stewart of Austin; father John H. Stewart and wife Carol of Austin; brother Shawn M. Westmoreland of Manhattan, Kansas; sister Hannah R. Stewart and his only nephew, Jace L. Williams of Austin; sons Noah Kamin and Nathan Kaleb Stewart and their mother Karrie Ables of Cedar Park, Texas; son Blake Morgan Stewart and his mother Sunnie Peyton of Killeen; grandfather James H. Stewart of Texas City; grandparents Tom and Melba Randall of Noonday; uncles Jimmy C. Stewart and wife Marcy of San Marcos, California, Jerry W. Stewart of Texas City, Randy Randall and wife Linda of Noonday and Perry Randall of Tyler; aunts Glinda A. Collins of Houston and Sharon K. Swain and husband Dale of El Paso, Arkansas; and numerous cousins, relatives and many special friends. He is preceded in death by his grandmother Coma Jane Stewart of Texas City.Kamin loved to skateboard and as a child, his father would build him skateboard ramps that he would ride until they fell apart. As an adult, he loved to take his sons Noah and Nathan to the skate park and show them how to do all the different tricks he had learned. When Noah and Nathan were small, he loved to play “Bob the Builder” with them. He also loved taking Blake to the park and to Auditorium Shores on the weekends. He also shared his loved of video games with his children and in the past year, the boys enjoyed playing football with their dad.He was a talented sketch artist, very creative, and had a great imagination. He would sit and draw for hours with his boys. He also had a love for music and loved to write, play and record his own style of music with his brother Shawn. Kamin loved to hang out with his sister Hannah, who was so much more than just a sister to him. He was her beloved big brother, who was not only his best friend, but almost just like a twin to him. He had an affinity for his looks, clothes and style and always made a fashion statement.Kamin had the most beautiful blue eyes and a smile that would light up a room. His personality was infectious. He could always make you laugh, no matter the situation. Kamin could play the rough and tough guy when he wanted, and yet had the kindest and most gentle heart. He was so very proud of all three of his sons and was a loving father. He loved his weekend trips with the family to Galveston Island. Special moments spent with his mother included visiting her on his lunch breaks and having dinner with her every night. He also loved working on cars and building skateboard ramps with his father.Kamin’s family wishes to thank all of our friends and co-workers for their support and prayers during this time of grief. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to a fund that has been set up for his children. Memorial Services celebrating Kamin’s life will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 17, 2009 at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home, 14501 N. Interstate 35, Pflugerville.
