Laura Mae Brown was born on March 8, 1951 to the late Reverend B.J. and Edna I. Satterwhite; she was the eleventh child of the fifteen children. She professed a hope in Christ at an early age with St. Anne A.M.E. Church under the leadership of her father, Rev. B.J. Satterwhite. She later joined St. Paul Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend Melvin Manor.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Reverend B.J. and Edna I. Satterwhite; her son, Frederick L. Satterwhite; two grandsons, Frederick L. Crawford and Damarcio V. White; three sisters, Mary Smith, Mary Bingley, and Edna Mae Satterwhite; five brothers, Albert M. Satterwhite, Alvin N. Satterwhite, Robert L. Satterwhite, James E. Satterwhite, and Bradford Satterwhite, III.
She leaves to cherish her memories three daughters, Renee (Sidney), Rosemary (Charles), and Stephanie; five grandchildren, Adrian W. Williams, Myia Williams, Edward Walker, Jr., Ar’Mynie White, and Darrell White, Jr.; and one great granddaughter, Beauti C. White; four sisters, Bernice, Norma Faye, Idella, and Ebiney; four brothers, Alfred, Reuben, Carl (Celia), and Curtis; a host of nieces, nephews, and relatives; as well as three best friends ,Dianne, Savannah, and Ramona.
