Lee has been and will be missed by many at the City of Austin, Watershed Dept.  He was a leader and a friend to the Const. Group and it is with much sadness that he has passed.  He is with Christ Jesus now and no one can as for more.

My deepest sympathy to Lee Nichols' family. I enjoyed working with him at the City of Austin.

I worked with Lee for many years and knew him as a gentle soul.  I have missed him since his retirement.  My thoughts are with his family.

I'm so sorry to hear of Lee's passing - I will miss him. I wish you all peace in this time of sadness.

Mr. Nichols worked for the City of Austin for 45 years, beginning in 1958 with the Street and Bridge Division of the Public Works Department and concluded his career as a Superintendent for the Watershed Protection Field Operations Division.  In recognition of the significant contributions he made to the overall condition of the City's drainage infrastructure during his career, the building that our Watershed Field Operations Division - Closed Infrastructure group operates out of was dedicated to him.  Our staff sends our deepest sympathies to his family, friends and loved ones. We will always remember his longstanding commitment to the City of Austin, and more importantly we will cherish the memories of how he touched our lives.
