Leroy John Ender, age 82, passed away September 1, 2020. Leroy was born September 1, 1938 in Fedor, Lee County, Texas to John Alvin and Ella Lydia (Fick) Ender. He spent his early years helping on the family farm. On September 21, 1958 he married the love of his life, Mildred Goerlitz. Leroy was a great provider for his family and owned and operated various businesses in the Austin area. He was an avid gardener and a die-hard Texas Longhorn and Dallas Cowboys fan. Leroy and Mildred enjoyed taking trips to the coast on many occasions. He was confirmed in the Lutheran faith on Palm Sunday 1952. Leroy and Mildred were active members of Redeemer Lutheran Church in Austin, TX.
Leroy was preceded in death by his parents, John and Ella Ender; his beloved wife, Mildred; his sister, Weaver McCullough and his grandson, Timothy Glenn Ender. Those left to cherish his memory include his sons, Glenn Ender and Timothy Ender and his wife Janet; brother, Milton Ender and his wife Gerry; grandchildren, Brittany Ender, Shelley Ender, Russell Ender and his wife Heather, Victoria Jamison and her husband Chris and Andrew Ender; great grandchildren, Lucian, Moses, Logan, Aubrie and Erykah; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins and a host of friends.
Visitation will be held Monday, September 7, 2020 from 5:30pm to 7:30pm at Cook Walden Capital Parks Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be 10:00am Tuesday, September 8, 2020 at Redeemer Lutheran Church, 1500 W. Anderson Ln, Austin, TX 78757. Interment will follow at Cook Walden Capital Parks Cemetery.
