Linda L. Ibarra

She was the child of Joe Maciel and Frances Cisneros. At the age of seventeen, she met the love of her life, Efren Ibarra. They wed in 1986 and were inseparable for the next 36 years. During this time, they had three children and devoted their time to raising them guaranteeing that they had a loving and caring home. Her family was her greatest joy and accomplishment. In time, she was blessed with two additional daughters and a son. She was also blessed with 8 grandchildren.

She had many hobbies and talents which included cooking, baking, sewing, crocheting, dancing, decorating and planning Thanksgiving and Christmas in July. She had many traditions but one that will be missed the most is her Christmas cookie parties. Her smile would light up a room, her laughter was infectious, her hugs were warm and comforting, and her hands were soft and gentle. She will be forever missed and will always be our guiding light and the glue that holds our family together. May you eternally rest in peace. Love Leers.

She is survived by her husband, Efren R. Ibarra; son, Efren C. Ibarra; and his wife, Laura and their children: Alexis Jimenez, Xiomora Jimenez, Angel Jimenez, Abriella Ibarra; son, Rudolph N. Ibarra and his wife, Denise Ibarra, and their children: Edward Ibarra, Jazmin Ibarra and Joseph Ibarra; her daugher, Sarah Alegria and her husband, Juan Alegria, and their, son William Alegria. She is also survived by her mother, Frances Gamboa; brothers, Rigoberto Castillo, Michael Gonzales and Joseph Maciel; and sisters, Cynthia Leal, Judith Maciel Gonzales and Stephanie Maciel Morua.

She is preceded in death by her father, Joe Maciel and step-father, Eugene Gamboa.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 19, 2022 from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home with a recitation of the rosary to begin at 6:30 p.m. Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, October 20, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Elizabeth of Hungary Catholic Church located at 1520 North Railroad Avenue Pflugerville, Texas 78660.
