Lucy Brooks

July 5, 1942 – April 19, 2026

With heavy hearts and deep gratitude for a life beautifully lived, we announce the passing of Lucy, a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and cherished friend, who peacefully departed on April 19, 2026, at the age of 83.

Lucy was the heart of her family — a woman whose warmth, laughter, and unconditional love touched everyone fortunate enough to know her. She had a gift for making people feel welcome, valued, and deeply loved. Whether gathered around the dinner table, sharing stories with friends, or celebrating life’s simplest moments, she created memories that will live on forever in the hearts of those she loved.

She found great joy in quilting, carefully stitching together not only beautiful blankets but also generations of love and tradition. Every quilt she made carried her patience, creativity, and caring spirit — much like the life she lived. Her happiest moments were spent surrounded by family and friends, especially during holidays, gatherings, and quiet afternoons filled with conversation and laughter.

She leaves behind a legacy of kindness, strength, compassion, and unwavering devotion to family. Her wisdom, gentle spirit, and beautiful smile will be profoundly missed but never forgotten.

She is survived by her loving children Jon and Aaron Brooks, daughter in law Briana Brooks, grandchildren Faith and Gracie Brooks, brother Jessie Montez, niece Jessica Montez, extended family members, and countless dear friends whose lives she enriched in countless ways.

Though our hearts ache in her absence, we find comfort in knowing her love remains woven into the fabric of our lives — a lasting reminder of the extraordinary woman she was.

A celebration of her life will be held on May 23, 2026 at Cook- Walden Capital Parks Funeral Home & Cemetery, where family and friends will gather to honor the love, joy, and memories she leaves behind. Viewing from 9-11 A.M. and funeral to follow from 11 A.M.- 12 P.M.

Visitation will be held at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home, 14501 North Ih-35, Pflugerville, TX 78660, US, on May 23, 2026, from 9:00 am to 11:00 am.

A Committal Service will follow at Cook-Walden Capital Parks Cemetery, 14501 North Ih-35, Pflugerville, TX 78660, US, on May 23, 2026, from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm.
