

Macy was born to John Wier and Vallie Mills Wier and became the youngest of four children. The Wier family relocated to Dripping Springs, Texas where Macy graduated with honors at the age of sixteen. She received a full academic scholarship to Mary-Hardin Baylor and married Frank Myrick in 1953.
Macy began her professional career as a civil servant with the Federal Government of the United States in Austin, Texas and retired in 1991. She and Frank resided in Round Rock, Texas.
Macy is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her brothers Billy Wier and Charles Wier as well as her youngest daughter, Lorilynn Myrick Brown.
She is survived by her oldest daughter, Lynda Myrick, her sister Nell Wier Fleming, grandchildren Justin, Jim, Jordan, Ainsley, Emeli, ten great-grandchildren and eight nieces and nephews.
Visitation with the family is scheduled from 4-6 p.m. on Sunday, June 29, 2025, at Cook Walden/Capital Memorial Parks Funeral Home in Pflugerville, Texas. A private family Memorial Service will be at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Texas Baptist Children’s Home in Round Rock, Texas in her memory.
