Marian Lee Smith

Marian was preceded in death by her mother, Hazel Winnie Sadler and Father, Henry Lee (Buddy) Sadler,

and her husband Milford Leon (Pat) Smith.

She is survived by her son Michael Craig Smith, daughter Manda Lee Kelly, daughter-in-law Jennifer

Herzik Smith, son-in-law Kevin Kelly, grandchildren Kathryn Kelly, Aidan Smith and Madeline Smith.

Marian was born in Sacramento, California to Hazel and Henry Sadler. They moved back to Texas when she was a toddler and was raised in Hallettsville, Texas.

She met the love of her life, Milford Leon (Pat) Smith in Victoria, Texas. They were married on April 21, 1962, and had 55 wonderful years together before Pat’s death in 2017.

They moved to Austin, Texas in 1970, where they raised their children Michael and Mandy.

Marian enjoyed many years in her career as an office manager until Pat and Marian both retired in 1997. They loved traveling around the country in their motorhome, where they

made many wonderful friends from all over the country.

One of her greatest joys was being a grandmother to Kathryn, Aidan and Maddie.

She loved being a part of the wonderful extended Smith family, including many wonderful in-laws,

cousins, nieces and nephews.

She was a strong, wonderful woman. We will all miss her dearly.

A private family service was held in Salado, Texas on December 4, 2022.
