Mark graduated from Sidney Lanier High School in Austin, TX, class of 1967. He enlisted in the United States Air Force Reserve and then attended the University of Texas in Austin, where he earned his Bachelor’s Degree in computer science. After college, he worked for the Veteran's Administration in Austin, TX and then in Chicago, IL.
Mark loved to travel and was able to visit several different countries where he enjoyed learning about their history and culture. He was especially fascinated with the history of the Ancient Egyptians and the pharaohs. After retiring, he volunteered as a docent at the Field Museum in Chicago where he was able to share his love and knowledge of the many exhibits on display.
Mark was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his brothers, Greg (Charlotte) Graham of Edna, TX and David Graham of Round Rock, TX; 3 nieces; 2 nephews; several great- grandnieces and nephews; as well as a few great- great- grandnieces and nephews. He also leaves behind many wonderful friends in Chicago who were there for him throughout his illness.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, August 13, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at Cook Walden/Capital Parks Cemetery, 14501 North Interstate 35, Pflugerville, TX, 78660.
