

He is preceded in death by both parents Morris (Vic) Victor Dickinson and Maidel Robbins Dickinson of Athens, Texas and Sister Lovie Ann Massey.
Skip graduated from the University of North Texas with a Master’s degree and later received a second Master’s degree from Texas State University. He retired from teaching in 2004 and went to work for Lennar Homes until 2008.
Skip loved the water, scuba diving and spending countless weekends at the lake with family. He had the gift of drawing, painting and woodworking. Skip received Teacher of the Year Award for the State of Texas from TDTSEA in 1997 and received several recruiting awards from the Navy and Marines.
He loved teaching and touched the lives of many students. A few comments from students, parents and faculty are:

Skip was a caring father, proud “PawPaw” and “DaDa” to his grandchildren and loving husband to his wife Connie of 35 years.
He leaves to cherish his memories his wife Connie Burk Dickinson; daughter: Shannon Moltz; Sons: Brad Dickinson, Brandon Dickinson and wife Lissa; Granddaughters: Lauren Meeker and husband Dan, Callie Moltz, Hailey Dickinson, Gabrielle (Gabi) Dickinson; Grandson: Jason Dickinson; step-grandchildren: Hunter, Dylan, Ben and Helena Block; Nieces: Amanda and Rachel Massey, Nephew: Frank Massey.
The family wishes to express their deepest gratitude to Dr. Carlayne Jackson of the ALS Clinic in San Antonio, Texas; Dr. Jeffrey Tramonte of the Emory Bellard ALS Clinic in Round Rock, Texas; Kathy MacNeil and the staff of Texas Home Health Care, Allyssa Martin, New Century Hospice, the ALS Association and the support of their caring family and friends.
