Nguyen Huu Le

Le was born on April 27, 1937, in Thanh Loi, Vietnam. He completed Phan Thanh Gian high school in Can Tho and graduated from Dai Hoc Su Pham at Sai Gon in 1962.

Upon graduating from university, Le started his successful career in education as a high school teacher at Tong Phuoc Hiep in Vinh Long. In 1964, he was selected by his colleagues and the student body to be the school’s principal. By 1966, Le was promoted to the Board of Education to serve as the regional inspector for all high schools.

Aside from his professional achievements, Le appreciated literature and music, enjoyed playing guitar, and cherished his participation in events within the Vietnamese community. He was often invited to emcee joyous occasions, ranging from weddings of families and friends to cultural events in the Chicago area.

Le was predeceased by his father, Nguyen Huu Du, and mother Ung Thi Ngoi.

Family members left to cherish Le’s memory include, Nguyen Thi Hien, and his sons, Linh Hung (Chinh), Linhhuy, Linhhuyen (Tuyet), and Linhhai (Lisa). He also lives on in the memories of his grandchildren: Hoang Nghi; Thien-Quang and Catlynh; Kristina and Emily; Jeremy Binh and Wesley Bao.

A visitation for Le will be held Friday, September 8, 2023 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home, 14501 North Ih-35, Pflugerville, TX 78660. A funeral service will occur Saturday, September 9, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 10:30 AM, 14501 North Ih-35, Pflugerville, TX 78660. A committal service will occur Saturday, September 9, 2023 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM, 14501 North Ih-35, Pflugerville, TX 78660.
