Pedro "Pete" Chavez Flores

Pedro Chavez Flores, age 79, of Round Rock Texas, passed away and went to Heaven on Friday, December 19, 2014. He was born to the late Catarino and Antonia Flores on January 18, 1935, in Elgin, TX. Pedro (Pete) grew up in Elgin Texas. He enlisted the United States Army and was in active service in the National Guard for 35 years. He married Santos (Sandra) Palacio and they had two daughters. They later moved to Austin TX, he was employed for 25 years with the Texas Highway of Transportation, and after his retirement they moved to Round Rock TX.

Pete Flores is survived by his wife Sandra Flores, two daughters, Gloria Rendon (Daniel) and Esther Flores, his two grandsons, Daniel P Rendon (Ashley) and Christopher Rendon, his three great granddaughters Daphne, Delilah and Devin Rendon, siblings Lacardia Jonse, Juliana Flores and John Flores. He is preceeded in death by his siblings, Catarino Flores Jr., Fernando Flores, and Susie Martinez.

He was a very compassionate loving man and a father, a good provider for his family. He will be dearly missed and we thanked God for allowing him to be with us throughout his wonderful years. A special thank you to the staff at Bel Air Teravista Nursing Home.

Recitation of the Rosary will be held at 7:00pm, Monday, December 22, 2014 at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home in Pflugerville, TX. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 1:30pm, Tuesday, December 23, 2014 at Saint Williams Catholic Church in the Chapel, 620 Round Rock West Dr., Round Rock TX, 78681.
