Phuoc was a Vietnam War Refugee and proudly served alongside the United States Army during the Vietnam War. His love for the Army never wavered throughout his life. Upon his arrival in the United States, he made it a goal to build a life for himself and his family.
Having settled in Austin, TX, Phuoc started his career at Motorola. He remained as an integral team member for over 25 years before retiring to a life at home with DIY projects around his home and occasional trips to the coast to fish.
He is survived by his wife, Vinh Nguyen; children and grandchildren: son Huy Nguyen and granddaughter Anna Nguyen; son Hoang Nguyen; daughter Ailin Nguyen and husband Marjo Alonzo; granddaughter Emily Alonzo; grandson Alex Alonzo; daughter Thao (Annie) Nguyen and husband Thanh Truong; son Hieu (Billy) Nguyen.
