

Survivors are his wife, Mary Bailey; son, Steven Bailey of the home; his daughter, Pamela Scogin of Tomball, TX; grandchildren and great-grandchildren: Matt and Angie Scogin, Kyndall & Lucas; Mark and Andrea Scogin & Bradley; Melissa and Jeremy Bobbitt & Bree. He is also survived by brother, Kenneth and his wife, Lois of San Leandro, California; niece and husband, Drs. Kara & Tom Ruiz and children, Christina & Matt; Brad and Jeanne Bailey and children, Amanda & Claudette; brothers-in-law, R.H. Sheppard and wife, Barbara and children, Kelly & Jamie; Dean Sheppard and children, Rollie & Kenny & their children.
Bob was a member of Austin Bible Church, He loved his Lord. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Church in Bob’s memory. He served his country as a member of the United States Army during the Korean conflict from 1950-1953. Bob worked in the tax department for the City of Austin until it was changed to Travis County Central Appraisal District. He served a total of 31 years, retiring at the age of 71. Bob took great pride in his work.
He loved all his friends and they knew they were loved, he expressed it in the way he lived.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 7, 2011 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. The funeral service will be conducted on Saturday, January 8, 2011, 1:00 p.m. at the Mausoleum Chapel of Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Cemetery. Entombment will follow at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Cemetery in Pflugerville.
