Robert Louis Evans

Robert Louis Evans, born on August 24, 1957, in New Orleans, Louisiana, passed away on April 11, 2026, surrounded by love. He was the beloved son of Richard Vestal Evans and Marion Margaret Duferene, who both preceded him in death. As the firstborn of three children, Robert carried a strong sense of family and responsibility throughout his life.

Robert is survived by his devoted wife of nearly 45 years, Julie Evans; his siblings, Jesse Walton and Penny Evans; his daughters, Stephanie Viescas and Kristen Evans; his son-in-law, David Viescas; and his three cherished grandchildren, Caleb, Lucy, and Jordan.

Robert proudly served in the United States Army and carried that same sense of dedication into every chapter of his life. He was best known for his warm spirit, unforgettable stories, and his unmistakable resemblance to Santa Claus—bringing joy and laughter to those around him. His positive energy and natural ability to connect with others meant he never met a stranger, and he made countless friends along the way.

Above all, Robert was a man who loved deeply and lived fully. His presence brought comfort, his laughter brought light, and his memory will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew him.

He is loved beyond words and will be deeply missed by all.
