Roger Dale Sturgill, age 65, of Pflugerville passed away on Saturday, October 4, 2014. Roger is survived by his wife Connie; daughters Becky (Bill) Hamilton of Robstown and Traci Sturgill of Marble Falls; son, Buddy Young of California; stepson Conley Williams of Round Rock; brothers Larry Sessoms of Leander, Carl Sturgill of Bertram, and Walter Sturgill of Andice; sister Beverly Christian of Bastrop; 11 grandchildren, two great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Roger proudly served his country in Vietnam as a Navy Seabee. He retired from Custom Tabs and Austin Laminating. He was an avid NASCAR fan and a member of the Austin Cobra Club.
There will be visitation with the family from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm, Thursday, October 9, at Cook-Walden Capital Parks Funeral Home, Pflugerville. Funeral service will be graveside at 1:00 pm, Friday, October 10 at Cook-Walden Capital Parks Cemetery, Pflugerville. A celebration of Roger's life, will follow at Players, 113 Pecan St, Pflugerville.
