I  was saddened to learn of Ron's passing. I first met Ron in Seattle at an educational conference. A few years later I met Ron again at a regional education association meeting. I was teaching at Del Valle ISD. Ron proved to be a great professional as well as a personal friend during my Texas tenure. I appreciate his friendship and mentoring. My sympathy to the family. The educational community has lost an expert teacher.

I had the privilege of meeting Mr. Foy when we traveled from Mueller Airport to Cincinnati in 1975 with Mr. Seher when I was a high school student attending an Industrial Arts conference. I still remember a curious waitress with a British accent asking him about his boots, wondering about his "pointed-toe shoes." He was a gentleman and a kind person. I am sad to hear of his passing and wish you comfort in the memories of a life well lived.

Ron was one of the greatest neighbors I have ever had. He and Bonnie were so much fun to be around and always willing to help out anyone in need. I will always remember to neighborhood block parties. Love you both

My husband, Robert H. Wilson, was remembering  the times spent with Mr. Foy in Explorer Scouts.  It inspired him and not long after we married he became a leader of an Explorer Post in Ballinger.  He also had Mr. Foy in Industrial Arts. Our son in later years took Industrial Arts inspired by both parents having taken that class.  Mr. Foy's legacy will go on.

I clearly remember the day in 1970 when Ron asked our Snyder High architecture class if any anyone had the dream of someday becoming a homebuilder.  I was the only one who responded with that goal in mind (and I did build homes for many years). Ron taught me how to draw my first set of house plans.  He loaded our class up in the school bus to visit jobsites so that I could better understand how to build a slab. (It was not just full of concrete!  Who knew?) He was a great teacher, friend and mentor.  I am so grateful our paths crossed.

I was shocked and saddened to read about Ron's passing.  He was a unique individual, a good father, husband, grandfather and friend.  He had many unusual traits about him however the one trait that I took from him was to never be satisfied with your best, always strive to be better.
I know that the shock and sadness of his passing are all consuming right now, but rejoice in the thoughts that all of his loved ones who passed before him where there to make his final journey easier. 
My prayers and thoughts are with you and your families in this difficult time.  Try to think of the good times shared, funny things that happened when you were together and the love he had for each and every one of you.

My prayers to out  to the family for the loss of such a great man.  Mr. Foy was my Industrial Arts teacher my senior year in high school.  The rule was no singing  in the workshop but Mr. Foy allowed me to sing and whistle to my heart's content.  Had he not been in my corner I most likely would not have graduated from High School.  He was the most influential teacher in my life and I will always be grateful for having him during that pivotal time in my young life.

Prayers to the Foy family on the loss of a great man.  I didn't know him long, but during that small amount of time, I knew his thoughts on City politics and his zest for the outdoors.  Thanks, Ron for being a Great Grandpa to my grandchildren!

My condolences to the whole family of Mr.  Foy.  I was one of his students and Boy Scouts in Ballinger.  I aspired to be a teacher to others as he had been to me.  Life circumstances prevented that, but I became a machinest and in that capacity I had  the priviledge of teaching high school dropouts to be productive citizens.  I thank Mr. Foy for setting me on the path to do just such a job.

Many prayers for the family, may God be with the family and wrap his loving arms around you as you grieve for his loss.

Mr. Foy was my Woodwork teacher my senior year at Ballinger High School.  He attended many of our class reunions over the last 50 years. When my father returned from WWII in 1945 he worked with LaVelle at the COD Grocery.

Love and prayers to all of Mr. Foy's family.  He was a much loved and highly respected teacher in Ballinger and I know every student he came into contact with has a story to tell about him.  I never had him as a teacher, but remember him very well as a dedicated, humorous and approachable person.  May he rest in peace, knowing that he enriched many lives.
