Rose Tomaschek Shisler was born on August 21, 1932, in Philadelphia PA. Her parents, John and Hilda Tomaschek, had a small farm outside of Camden New Jersey. After her father’s sudden death in 1943, she and her mother Hilda kept the farm operation of 5,000 laying hens going through her teen years.
Rose met and later married Alfred Shisler and had two sons Carl and Mark. She then continued her education, receiving her Bachelor degree of Arts in education while raising two sons with husband Alfred. Later the family moved to Austin Texas in 1972 with Westinghouse corporation. Rose started a new career path and took a job with a small law firm. Having stayed in the legal field she eventually retired from the Attorney General's office Medicaid fraud division.
Mom died peacefully in her sleep early morning October 17, 2025. She was a hard worker, loving wife to our father, and a loving mother to Carl and Mark, her surviving sons.
A committal service is scheduled to take place at Cook-Walden/ Capital Parks Cemetery, located at 14501 North Ih-35, Pflugerville, Texas, 78660, on October 23, 2025, from 11:00 am.
