Rosie was born July 9, 1929 in Stamford, TX to Willie and Callie Vinson.
Rosie met the love of her life, Roy Lee Buntin, in Stamford, Texas. They lived across the road from each other and fell in love. She married Roy Lee on June 15, 1947, and they would have been married 75 years on June 15, 2022. Their life as a family unfolded with the birth of their 3 children, Jeanne, Danny, and Debbie. Their legacy has expanded to include 9 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, and 8 great-great grandchildren. What a blessing of love Rosie has given to her family. Rosie loved her Lord and served for many years in her church before dementia.
Rosie had humble beginnings as the daughter of a farmer and could drive a tractor or a combine, and pull cotton - she was quite the farmer. One of her early joy-filled activities was riding the family horse. She was proud of her country roots. Rosie found much joy in cooking, sewing, quilting, gardening, fishing, and loving her family. Rosie worked at Texas Instruments as a Computer Technician Supervisor until she retired at age 62. She found this occupation very rewarding.
Rosie accepted Jesus at the age of 18 at a small church -Tuxedo Baptist Church in Tuxedo, Texas. She had the “Roman Road” marked in her Bible and desired all her family know Jesus as their Savior.
