Steve was born on September 7, 1956 to Samuel and Ruth Williams in Austin, Texas. After Steve graduated from Reagan High School, he worked at 7/11 for many years before joining his brother Tracy at Williams Electric. He then went on to work at Allied Sales, where he worked until his passing.
Steve enjoyed going to Round Rock Express baseball games. He was an avid bowler and bowled in several leagues. Steve also loved trains, and because of this love he was an active member of Austin Steam Train Association for over 10 years. Steve was a lifelong member of Hillcrest Baptist Church where he served behind the scenes as an integral part of church operations. Steve loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them, especially watching his great nieces and great nephews playing.
Steve was preceded in death by his father Samuel W. Williams and mother Ruth Williams. He is survived by his son Ben Williams and wife Cassie, his brother Tracy Williams and wife Rhonda, two nieces and two nephews along with several great nieces and great nephews, and numerous family members and friends.
There will be two opportunities for Visitations: Friday, May 10, 2024 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home in Pflugerville, Texas and Saturday, May 11, 2024 from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m., at Hillcrest Baptist Church in Austin, Texas.
Funeral Service will be held Saturday, May 11, 2024 at 1:00 p.m., at Hillcrest Baptist Church in Austin, Texas.
