

Terry attended Austin schools and attended Lanier High School. He served in the United States Army, and was discharged in 1979. After his discharge from the service, he began working for Odeen Hibbs Trucking Company. He was a proud member of the Masonic Lodge and held a 2nd degree black belt from the Austin Tae Kwon Do Association. Terry loved to play golf, and loved his dogs, Flint and Dolly.
Those left behind to cherish Terry’s memory include his father, Odeen Hibbs and wife Sandra Thompson-Hibbs of Austin; mother, Geneva Estell Hibbs of Elgin; children, Austin and Heidi Hibbs of Hutto; grandchildren, Destry and Sterling Griffin of Hutto; and brother, Rodney Hibbs of Elgin. He is also survived by numerous other family members and friends who will all miss him dearly.
Family and friends are invited to a visitation to be held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Monday, May 19, 2014 at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home in Pflugerville. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 20, 2014 at the funeral home chapel. He will be laid to rest at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Cemetery.
